Tesla Investment Update: Elon’s $1B Buy & Budget Models
Hey everyone, Marcel here from Mars Money Lab! If you’ve been following my Tesla journey, including the latest Elon Musk Tesla stock buy, I started buying Tesla stock in November 2024, and kicked off documenting my 5-year investment plan in March 2025 (check it out below) with a simple strategy: dollar-cost averaging £40 a week into TSLA while keeping an eye on those opportunistic dips.
We’ve seen some wild rides – from the Robotaxi event hype building through summer to the Juniper refresh boosting sales in Q2-Q3. Today, as we hit mid-October 2025, I’m excited to share my latest portfolio update amid some massive Tesla headlines. Buckle up; it’s been a rocket of a month! 🚀

My Current Tesla Investment 2025: Hitting New Milestones
As of October 18, 2025, my Tesla portfolio is sitting pretty at $9,746.22 in total value – a solid jump from the $6,380 I reported back in August. That’s thanks to a mix of my consistent weekly buys, a few extra injections of cash and some epic market surges. Unrealized profits are up to $1,994.52 (about 26% gain overall), with £50.32 in GBP cash (about $65 USD) ready for the next dip. I’ve been holding steady through the volatility, and hitting that near-$10K mark feels like a major milestone.
For context, I’m still on eToro’s Silver Club tier (upgraded in August after crossing $5K), and the dashboard is looking sharp. My plan to hold until at least 2030 remains strong unless fundamentals change significantly. Here’s a screenshot of the current stats:

Shareholder Voting Update
A few weeks back, I received an email for the TESLA, INC. 2025 Annual Meeting – vote by November 6, 2025. I’ve already voted, and it felt surreal to have a say in the company’s direction. I’m excited to share this milestone and encourage fellow investors to do the same if they’ve received their notices. Notably, one key proposal up for vote is Elon Musk’s new compensation package, which could see him earn up to $1 trillion in stock awards if Tesla hits ambitious targets over the next decade, tied to market cap and operational milestones (e.g., $8.5T market cap and robotaxi scaling). It’s a hot topic, and my vote reflected my belief in his vision driving long-term growth.

Tesla News That’s Fueling My Optimism
Tesla’s ecosystem is evolving faster than ever, and these updates have me more bullish than before. Here’s what’s got me excited:
Elon Musk Tesla Stock Buy: The $1B Confidence Boost
In a move that screams confidence, Elon Musk’s Tesla stock buy of $1 billion from his personal funds last month. Citing his belief in Tesla’s AI and autonomy roadmap, this buy not only boosted morale but sent the stock soaring over $420. My portfolio jumped accordingly, pushing me over the $10K threshold for a brief moment. We’ve now reached a new high of ~$439, with the last similar level seen in December 2024 at ~$424. Analysts are calling it a signal of long-term commitment, especially with regulatory hurdles easing for FSD. My take? It’s classic Elon – putting his money where his vision is. 💎🙌

FSD 14 Rollout: Autonomy Levels Up
Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) is its most advanced driver-assist system, designed to navigate city streets, handle complex turns, and reduce the need for human input — though it remains Supervised, requiring driver attention. Version 14.1.2 has officially launched, and early feedback from beta testers highlights smoother navigation, better handling of urban scenarios, and fewer interventions. With new features like customizable arrival options and improved detour logic, it’s a clear step toward Tesla’s long-term Robotaxi vision. FSD subscriptions continue to generate recurring revenue, and this update could accelerate adoption as reliability improves.
Budget Tesla Models: Standard Y and 3
Tesla’s push for affordability is paying off with the new Standard Range models for the Model Y and Model 3. Priced at $38,630 for Model 3 and $39,990 for Model Y (under $35,000 and $32,500 after US federal incentives), these budget versions feature ~321 miles of range for Model 3 and ~260 for Y, making EVs accessible to more buyers, aligning with Elon Musk investments 2025 in affordability. Both are available for order, with deliveries starting late 2025/early 2026. Tesla distinguishes them from higher-spec Premium, Long Range, and Performance trims, helping clarify the lineup.

Other Tesla Headlines Keeping the Hype Alive
- Shareholder Meeting Buzz: Tesla’s 2025 Annual Meeting is set for November 6 at Giga Texas, with key votes on executive compensation and board proposals. If you’re a shareholder, check your inbox — voting closes soon.
- Energy Storage Growth: Megapack deployments surged over 80% year-over-year, with major new contracts signed in California and Texas, including multi-GWh projects that reinforce Tesla’s energy business momentum.
- Cybertruck Expansion: Tesla delivered ~5,400 Cybertrucks in Q3 (YTD ~16,000), with expansion to markets like Canada. Demand is cooling as production ramps.
- Optimus Updates: Factory pilots are expanding, with Tesla’s humanoid bots now handling more repetitive tasks. The 5,000-unit goal for 2025 has been delayed, but full production remains on track for 2026 after recent parts orders.

What’s Next for My Investment?
Looking ahead, I’m aiming to crack $10,000 in Tesla holdings by year-end – with weekly buys and potential extras if we see another dip. As Elon said during Tesla’s Q1 earnings call, “We’re building toward a future of sustainable abundance — autonomy, energy, and robotics are converging faster than people realize.” Whether we hit $500 by December is anyone’s guess, but the momentum from Elon Musk Tesla stock buy is real.
