Key Insights & Lessons from May
The portfolio had a solid month overall (+8.4%). My two custom pies (Space + Quantum) are now fully live and performing nicely.
- Strongest driver: NVIDIA delivered a massive +39.44% MoM on continued AI demand and market leadership, while Tesla added over +$1,157 (+9.52%), making it one of the biggest absolute contributors this month despite some mid-month volatility.
- New additions performing well: Space Pie and Quantum Pie are now fully live and active — both started from zero this month and are already contributing to the portfolio at £13.80 and £21.83.
- Steady performers: Matched Betting (+£63.20), ETF dividends, and Premium Bonds delivered reliable, low-volatility gains as expected.
- Mixed areas: Ethereum declined -7.59%, while Bitcoin rose +13.22% — overall crypto was muted.
Biggest takeaway: Diversification across growth assets, new thematic pies, and stable income experiments is effectively reducing volatility while delivering solid overall growth.
Roadmap & What’s Next
We’re now past the £10k “Stable orbit” milestone and sitting at 59.5% of the £25k breakout target. Next focus remains the same: consistent DCA into the growth assets, maximising cashback/profit from the low-volatility experiments, and keeping the dashboard updated daily.
