Plutus June 2025 Update: PlutusSwap & Double Rewards Boost
Hey, I’m Marcel, and welcome back to the lab! I’m diving into my latest Plutus experiment, turning everyday spending into crypto cashback with my Visa debit card. This post covers the Plutus June 2025 Update, including the PlutusSwap reward level limits set for August, my experience with 6 double rewards bonuses, and the upcoming PlutusGifts launch. Plutus June 2025 Update: PlutusSwap Limits Revealed
On June 3, 2025, Danial Daychopan (@DDhopn) dropped a game-changing update on X about PlutusSwap, responding to a suggestion from @kirchocrypto to link monthly swap limits to reward levels. The proposed tiers were:
- Chad Level: 3 PLU/month
- Hero Level: 4 PLU/month
- Veteran Level: 5 PLU/month
- Legend Level: 10 PLU/month
- Myth Level: 20 PLU/month
- Goat Level: 30 PLU/month
- HoneyBadger Level: 40 PLU/month
- Titan Level: 50 PLU/month
Danial confirmed that PlutusSwap, letting users convert Dynamic Reward Points into PLU for no-fee card top-ups, will tie limits to reward levels starting August 2025, with limits higher than suggested and details coming soon.
Looking Ahead: PlutusGifts and Beyond
PlutusGifts is set for July 2025 with early access for users who unlock higher Reward Levels by reducing re-stacking requirements (e.g., Veteran from 10,000 to 5,000 PLU), offering tiered gift card discounts that complement the August PlutusSwap overhaul. With savings of up to £/€1,440 per year, including 60% off £/€100 gift cards monthly and £/€60 in PlutusSwap Premium card top-ups starting August for Legend Tier users. The blockchain migration is also on track to boost efficiency. On June 20, 2025, Danial Daychopan announced the second PLU burn, transferring 1.00 million PLU (valued at $600,313.00) to a null address (0x00…dEaD) with 5 block confirmations. This followed the first 1M burn in May, reducing the supply to 18 million PLU, and Danial’s accompanying post noted it keeps future circulation low, boosting ecosystem confidence. With my 3,159 PLU now Rare PLU, I’m excited to see the scarcity effect! I’m eager to see how my 6 double rewards and the new limits play out.
Perks Breakdown
As a Veteran tier member, I now enjoy 5 perk slots, an increase from the 4 I had at Hero tier, with each slot capped at £50 per perk thanks to last year’s Metal Card promotion. However, I can stack each perk once, allowing up to £100 per retailer. I have 8 perks in total as my premium subscription added 3 more perks, and in June, I utilized all 8 available perks to maximize my returns. Here’s my breakdown, based on the app screenshot:
- Sainsbury’s: £100.00 (stacked twice at £50), doubled to earn an extra 10 PLUS.
- Shell: £50.00 (single perk), earned 5 PLUS.
- Amazon: £50.00 (single perk), earned 5 PLUS.
- ASDA: £100.00 (stacked twice at £50), doubled for 10 PLUS.
- Uber/Uber Eats: £50.00 (single perk), earned 5 PLUS.
- Tesco: £50.00 (single perk), earned 5 PLUS.
Total spending was £400.00, earning 40 PLUS (doubled perks contributed 20 PLUS, single perks 20 PLUS). The app’s perk screen confirmed all June 2025 perks were selected, and for July, I’ve locked in Sainsbury’s (£50) and Amazon (£50), with more to come.
My Lab Results: Plutus June 2025 Rewards
I’m still at Veteran tier with 3,159 PLU (now Rare PLU post-burn). In June, I earned 76.16 PLUS—40 from perks (detailed above) and 36.16 from card rewards. My 6 double rewards bonuses let me double the Sainsbury’s and ASDA spends (£100 each), earning an extra 20 PLUS (10 PLUS each). The next tier, Legend (10,000 PLU), is a stretch, but my 5% cashback and 5 perks are solid.
Lab Reflections
June’s 76.16 PLUS rewards are a fantastic leap, thanks to my double rewards feature and solid card rewards. As a user, I swapped 1 PLU for £10 again this month, my second month using the Web2 swap feature, and it’s been seamless. The CEO also announced that the current £10 swap limit will lift in August, aligning with reward tiers. On top of that, I’m loving my 6 double rewards bonuses each month. I pick the transaction with the highest PLU rewards and double it. It’s a very nice feature that’s been supercharging my earnings! The Plutus June 2025 Update, PlutusGifts rollout, and the second PLU burn have me optimistic, especially with my Rare PLU stack. I’m swiping smarter with these perks, and I’ll keep an eye on the August changes!
